LekkerGuest is now CrediGuest. Same product, same team, new name. Why we changed it
How it works

Verify. Protect. Resolve.

Every booking follows the same simple journey. You set it up once per property; CrediGuest runs it automatically for every stay after that.

Step 1

Verify every guest before check-in.

Bookings flow in

Add bookings directly in minutes, or connect your property management system as PMS support rolls out (Boom, Guesty, Hostaway & Lodgify, more coming soon). Every reservation appears on your CrediGuest dashboard.

Guests pre-check-in

Each guest receives a secure link: a government ID upload, contact details, your house rules with e-signature, and a saved payment method, completed once, reused on future stays.

You see the history

Their ID unlocks the guest's cross-host track record and CrediGuest Score, so you know who is arriving before you hand over the keys.

Step 2

Protection collected automatically.

Choose the model that suits each property. Either way, the booking is protected before the guest arrives, with no manual chasing.

Security deposit

A hold is placed on the guest's card for the amount you configure. No money changes hands unless you lodge a claim; the hold is released automatically after a clean stay. A small verification fee is charged to the guest per secured booking, at no cost to you.

Damage waiver

Guests pay a small non-refundable fee that you set and price. Waiver funds accumulate with you, the host, building a pool that absorbs the wear-and-tear incidents that never justify a deposit claim.

Step 3

Claims measured in days, not months.

Lodge the claim

Build an itemised incident report with photos and amounts, straight from the booking. The protection already in place is held immediately.

Guest responds

The guest gets a fair, fixed 72-hour window to accept or dispute specific items. Disputes are resolved item by item, transparently, on the platform.

You get paid

Settlement is captured from the deposit hold or waiver cover and paid out to your bank account. Every step is documented, both sides can see the same record.

In plain terms

What verification does, and doesn't, check.

What is collected

A copy of the guest's government-issued ID, their contact details, an e-signature on your house rules, a saved payment method held by Stripe, and a declaration of who is staying. The guest completes this once and it is reused on future CrediGuest stays.

Who does the checking

Today, you do. CrediGuest attaches the ID to the booking so you review it before arrival and can decline a stay whose ID is missing or doesn't match the booking name. Automated document and liveness verification is on our roadmap and will be announced when live, not before.

What the CrediGuest Score is

A single number built from structured host reviews of the guest's completed, verified stays across all CrediGuest hosts: condition of the property, respect for house rules, communication and declared guest numbers. Reviews are tied to a real booking; hosts cannot review a guest they did not host.

What the score is not

It is not a credit check, a criminal-record check or a background check, and it does not draw on data from outside CrediGuest. New guests start without a score, not with a bad one. Guests can see their overall score and request their full record under POPIA and GDPR.

CrediGuest facilitates verification, collection and settlement on your behalf. It is not an insurance product; protection terms are set and underwritten by you, the host.
